Remember this piece? Well it's back, and I need an opinion for it. The last picture is where I am with it now. I don't like the middle one, but I can't decide whether it's better with white or with the grey in the background. I think I really just need to stare at it for a while, but it would be helpful to get some of your thoughts on it also.

I like it with the drips! It is like the dog is reacting to them like the canvas is splitting open or something and s/he finds it interesting.
i like where it is right now, im not sure what it needs, maybe if you made the smudges seem like they were shadows on a wall or something, like if you had the one on the bottom change angle so it looked like the wall connecting to the floor? it's kind of hard to explain, but i like where this piece is going!
i love where you are going with this. i think that you still need to push your values a bit. the gray feels a little flat to me right now, especially right next to your amazing shadowing job. keep on developing though-its looking good.
